Comfortable and convenient
Located within the city, close to main attractions and public transport, the hotel certainly ticks all boxes for convenience. My boyfriend and I stayed in a double-sized city garden room so our window overlooked the hotel’s rather small garden.
The hotel room itself is a bit cramped, especially if you’re travelling with a suitcase or two. In saying that, the room was perfectly heated and very comfortable. If you’re travelling with luggage you’ll just have to sacrifice a bit of space.
The rooms are fairly modern but the bathroom could definitely do with an update. And in keeping with the European theme, the double bed is just two singles pushed together, so prepare for a night of waking up squashed between two mattresses.
There’s free access to WiFi in the rooms and free access to computers in the main lobby should you need to use them. We didn’t eat at the hotel because there are plenty of restaurants and cafes located within walking distance from the hotel.
It’s definitely the location you’re paying for here but the rooms do the job for those of us who plan on simply sleeping there and nothing more.
I give Senator Hotel Vienna three stars.
