2017 Travel Highlights

We blinked and now it’s 2018.

It’s crept up on us pretty quickly, but 2018 is here and with it, more adventures.

But before I delve into what’s to come, I’m looking back on all the fun I had travelling in 2017.

2017 was the first year since 2012 that I hadn’t been to Europe. Instead, I spent more time in Asia, a continent I had only just scraped the surface of until now.

My year started in New Zealand where David and I hired a car and drove from Christchurch around the south island.

Just two days after returning to Australia, we embarked on a road trip from Sydney to Albury/ Wodonga on the NSW – Victoria border.

In February, it was off to Forster on the NSW mid-north coast.

Following Forster in February, we didn’t travel again until April when we travelled to Japan to see the cherry blossoms in bloom.

A month after returning home from Japan, we spent the weekend away in Port Stephens where we spent a night in a tree house.

After Port Stephens, we ended up doing the most grown up thing we’d ever done, we bought a house! That meant no travelling for a little while but we did manage to escape Sydney and head down to Berry and Kangaroo Valley for my birthday weekend in November.

This year, we spent Christmas at home with our families before heading to Hong Kong and Macau to celebrate New Year.

What a year it was!

Until the next adventure …
