Byron Bay Airbnb Review

A friend and I decided to ditch our boyfriends and spend the long weekend in sunny Byron Bay for a relaxing, beach holiday.

Finding accommodation that suited our budget, had two separate beds, and was located close to the beach and the centre of Byron was a struggle because almost everything was completely booked out four months in advance!

We eventually settled on a beach shed we found on Airbnb. The self-contained beach shed was located in the backyard of a property near Tallow Beach. The shed itself was quaint and had a main room/ bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette. Outside was a bonfire and seating area, complete with a deck and a hammock. Our reservation also included free bike hire but we ended up hiring a car and walking where we needed to go because of the distance we needed to travel.

In the lead up to our holiday, our hosts and owners of the beach shed were very extremely helpful. They sent us recommendations for what to see and do in Byron and the surrounding suburbs, how best to get around, and how to access the property, all without being prompted by us. Talk about great customer service!

The addition of the family’s furry friends was very welcome and many pats were given (because dogs always make holidays more fun).

If you’re not worried about 5-star luxury and you’re after a homely stay in Byron Bay, I’d recommend the beach shed.

I give the beach shed 3 stars.
